Beth Esguera, M.A.

Beth was born and raised in the Philippines.  She is fluent in Visayan and Tagalog. She completed her MA certification at University of Hawaii Maui College in 2006 and has been with Maui Cardiology since 2015.

Eda Franco, Patient Care Coordinator

Eda was born and raised in the Philippines.  She graduated high school in 2000 and has been working in the medical field since 2004.  She is fluent in Visayan and Tagalog.  Eda has been with Maui Cardiology since 2016.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her kids and singing.

Marilyn Kagehiro, M.A.

Marilyn grew up in Wahiawa and moved to Maui in the 1990s where she has worked in the medical field ever since.  She joined Maui Cardiology in 2018 and enjoys working with the people of Maui, who she finds very warm and friendly.

Tanya Kuailani, M.A.

Tanya was born and raised on Maui.  She graduated from Maui High School in 2000 and has been in the medical field since 2004.  She joined our team at the beginning on 2019.  Tanya enjoys the island life and spending time with her family.

Christine Mariano, M.A.

Christine graduated from Lahainaluna High School in 2013 and then attended California State University, Sacramento where she received her Bachelors of Science in Gerontology in 2017. She returned to Maui having previous experience working in the medical field and as a medical assistant before joining our practice in 2019. She is fluent in Ilocano and enjoys interacting with her patients.

Allison Oura, M.A.

Allison was born and raised on the island of Maui.  She attended Baldwin High School and later graduated with her Medical Assistant certification from University of Hawaii Maui College in 2005.  Before joining our practice in early 2016, she had worked in the medical field for over 12 years.  Ally enjoys engaging in conversation with all of her patients, making each of their visits a personable experience.

Apple Grace Solis, M.A.

Apple graduated from Maui High School in 2012.  She attended Carrington College in Pleasant Hill, California where she received her Medical Assistant Certificate.  Apple returned to Maui in 2014 and joined Maui Cardiology in 2018.  She is fluent in Ilocano and Tagalog.

Ultrasound technicians

Andrew Chittick, R.V.T., R.D.C.S.

Andrew was born in Illinois and grew up in Arizona.  He spent four years in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman.  He's been an ultrasound technician since 1981 and graduated the U.S. Naval School of Health Sciences and Arizona Heart Institute School of Cardiac Ultrasound in 1992.  Andy later served as an instructor at the same institute.  Andy joined Maui Cardiology in early 2015 and has been enjoying the island life including fishing and boating.

Jesse Hopper, R.D.C.S.

Jesse fled from the big hospital life in Pensacola, Florida to the happy island of Maui in 2017.  Following his parents footsteps in the cardiovascular sonography field, he graduated in both cardiac and vascular from Cardiac and Vascular Institute of Ultrasound in 2015.  If Jesse is not at work, he will easily be found in the water all around Maui scuba diving.  He brings a positive outlook on everything he does that transfers to the patients he cares for.

Lisa Schlichting, R.D.C.S

Lisa is originally from New York.  She attended the Cardiac Sonography course at New York University and became a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer in 1992, moving to Maui that same year.  Lisa lives upcountry and enjoys the outdoor lifestyle, including hiking, biking, and riding horses.  She strives to provide warm, thorough, quality care to patients in need.
