Dr. Muto was Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1993, Cardiovascular Diseases in 1990, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.  He graduated from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine and performed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship at the University of California Davis, the Veterans' Administration Center and the Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 1993.  In addition, he has completed specialized programs in balloon angioplasty to the heart and extremities, permanent pacemaker placement, and nuclear sound scanning.

Now, Dr. Muto mainly specializes in out-patient preventative and clinical Cardiology and has been practicing in Maui since 1996.  He refers his patients for hospitalization and interventional procedures to Maui Memorial Medical Center, Queen's Medical Center, Straub Hospital, Stanford Medical Center, Cedar-Sinai Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic Medical Center Rochester, and Mayo Clinic Arizona.  He's known for spending a great deal of time with his patients and managing complex problems.

Nanette Bowen is a Physician Assistant certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.  She attended Grand Valley State University in Michigan.  Nanette as worked as a PA-C in Internal Medicine (in-patient and out-patient), Gastroenterology, and Interventional Radiology.

Nanette views the practice of medicine in a holistic way, and is also an Ayurvedic Practitioner.  She is a certified yoga instructor, and is trained in midful meditation and stress reduction practices.  Nanette has taught these techniques to patients, and in various hospital settings, including Physician Grand Rounds.

From her visit years ago, Maui felt like home.  Nanette joined us in 2020 and now that it is home, she feels blessed to be working with the staff and patients at Maui Cardiology.

Robert Colella is a Physician Assistant certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.  He graduated from the York College program in New York and specialized in general Cardiology and Internal Medicine for the New York Presbyterian healthcare system.

Robert enjoys hiking, swimming, and traveling the world to appreciate different cultures.  He believes in putting patients first and was thrilled to join Maui Cardiology and the island community in 2020.

Jessica Silva is a Physician Assistant Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She graduated from the Stony Brook University PA Program in Long Island, New York.

Jessica was born and raised in Wailuku, Maui and graduated from Baldwin High School. She earned a soccer scholarship to play competitively at The Master’s University prior to attending PA school. Jessica finds joy in spending time with her family, gardening, painting, and playing in the ocean. It has always been her goal to learn the art of medicine and return home to serve her community. She was thrilled to have joined the team at Maui Cardiology in 2022. 

Carly Nyobinda is a Physician Assistant Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She graduated from Southern Illinois University Physician Assistant Program in 2018.

Carly has worked in hospital medicine, cardiothoracic surgery, and has volunteered in Kenya at a clinic as the Medical Director.  She enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, and spending time at the beach.  Carly has always wanted to join a team that serves and makes a difference in the community.

Dr. Terry is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.  He was an undergraduate at University of California, Berkeley and went to medical school at the University of California, San Francisco.  He completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Washington and did his Cardiology fellowship at the University of California, San Diego.  For  over 37 years, Dr. Terry had been an Interventional Cardiologist with Cardiovascular Consultants, a 23 person Cardiology group in the San Francisco Bay Area.
